Welcome to Cavalier County, ND located in the northeast quarter of the state along the US/Canadian border. Served directly by Railroad and 2 State Highways with an Interstate Highway only 50 miles east and a 4 lane US Highway 51 miles to the south. Three Canadian ports of entry give us easy access to international trade as well. Winnipeg, Manitoba, a major Canadian market, lies 120 miles Northeast, while Grand Forks and Fargo, North Dakota are 115 and 195 miles southeast. Three commercial airports within 110 miles and a local municipal airport with 5000 feet of hard surface runway also serve Cavalier County. With these facilities transportation to and from the county is easy.

We are served by Otter Tail Power Company and Cavalier Rural Electric for our electricity needs. Montana Dakota Utilities provides natural gas to the City of Langdon.
