Renaissance Zone Meeting
March 25, 2004 – 12:00 p.m.
Present: Bonnie Olson, Vernetta Rhaan, Patrick Rime, Roxanne Felch, Carol Goodman, Chalmer Dettler, Diane Reinhardt and Tina Gustafson.
Ms. Olson reviewed that last meeting. The committee reviewed the rules on setting up the zone area. It was stated that any block with a government building on it qualified the zone for an additional ½ block. The area for the zone was discussed.
Priorities for the Renaissance zone were discussed.
- To renovate apartments over large buildings.
- Fill the empty lots and buildings on Main Street.
- Preserve Historical properties
- Theme for main Street
- Recreate the four entrance signs to Langdon
The program available through NDSU-Kathleen Tweeten, the “Center for Excellence” was discussed as an option for ideas for Main Street visioning. How to make the public aware of the meeting was discussed.
It was agree the committee would meet again on April 8 th.
