CCJDA Day Care Grant Program

Existing Day Cares

• $750/year to existing licensed daycares each time they renew their license and a have 1 year of no critical violations
  
• Eligible for Employee Training Grant
  

New Day Care Slots

• For New or Existing Day Care that add new slots to the county
  
• Grant of $500 per new slot created
• Maximum benefit for program will be $5,000 per year for home based Day Cares, $10,000 per year for Day Care Center
  
• Must be licensed, however, a one year grace period will be considered a new daycare will be given so the daycare has the necessary timeframe to be licensed.
• Has a goal to create 50 new slots or $25,000
• Must remain open for at least three year or day care provider will be required to repay the grant prorate based on time in business
• Grant money must be used towards expenses directly related to Day Care ( i.e licensing, equipment, home updates related to day care such as fence )
• Must provide receipts totaling grant amount
